Precision Retaining Rings

Acme Monaco rings hold tight, position accurately and eliminate yawing. They are dependable, tight, burr free, clean cut, and concentric in the assembled position.

All retaining rings manufactured by Acme Monaco are specifically made for quality applications. They have no
burrs to cause abrasive damage to precision bearings.

Helix and cupping are virtually eliminated in manufacturing, while concentricity approaches 100 percent. In the assembled position they exert the correct amount of pressure for retention.

These rings are manufactured to compress into a bore diameter and assemble or “snap” into an internal groove for internal retention. The edge surface concentricity in the groove approaches 100 percent. The rings are elliptical in the free state as to insure roundness contact in the assembled position.

These rings are designed to expand over a shaft and snap into a groove for assorted retention applications.

The parameters of establishing the specifications, physical properties, and characteristics of custom-made retaining rings include type of material; thickness, width, and cross-section of material; I.D. of external ring; O.D. of internal ring; gap in assembled position; atmosphere in use; and all special requirements.
